Hi everyone, something else I want to add is while this is great news potentially there are a lot of unanswered questions and it may not have all of the same benefits as the V1 and V2 such as FCC and 1200mw mods. There is a LOT to unpack here and we will not know for some time the full details on this. As of today I would not make any purchase decisions based on this information.

Googles V2 switching between Air Unit(Vista) and FPV, this issue is without a fix for over an year….keep wishing that will have a fix….WILL NOT
I don't like "uni-taskers". That's why I don't buy DJI. If I could use their goggles with both a fpv drone and a mavic type, I might buy them. Otherwise, they are a very expensive kitchen gadget i don't need.

A problem nobody has mentioned, is that if you have eye astigmatism the myopia lenses options and DJI Goggles2 focus adjustments will do nothing for you[you can adjust to focus on the OSD-but it will be still slightly+ blurry in the onscreen scenery…And since the DJI Goggles2 are too small to wear even the smallest glasses you will have to get Specially made Correction Lenses to put over the eye piece inside the goggles…Or wear suitable contact lenses made to suit your astigmatism[or have eye surgery to correct the astigmatism$$$]
i got to say this new dji system out of the box is amazing. after seeing what they did to my v1 goggles with all the updates i can not wait to see what type of updates they can do with this new system over time. i got double the video range with the stock antennas. as far as the fog thing goes i found as my goggles warm up the fan spins up faster and fog goes away so i think in a update they can fix the fogging = )

DJI is playing social games. they have us by product and now by emotions.
DJi had plans to do that regardless of social input. Because their products are being released before beta software is even ready. We seen this with Mavic 3 DJI fpv and now DJI googles.
They promised compatibility on Mavic 3 and dji googles, still waiting and I believe new googles 2 will work.

My crystal ball say's, DJI isn't going to work on backward compatibility until after the V3 Air-unit releases.
I think it's irresponsible of folks like Nurk and Drew putting out statements without direct confirmation and written messages from DJI.
Will this be before or after they implement canvas mode? 😉

Other than form factor I don't have anything pulling me to buy them over my V2s. My v2s are perfect for me. If they give us more OSD support and better range then yeah I'll do it. But in all honesty if fatshark fixes their system I'm gonna be seriously considering leaving DJI AS MY VTX. With their announcement of their whoop sized VTX and having OSD support.. it's making me want to switch. I need proper OSD support and a single goggle solution for my whoops/micros. If I can get rid of the need for analog on my whoops and micros. What's left to compete with? I NEED proper OSD. It's almost insulting that they give us just a little bit of information.
